We partnered with Bounce Daily, India's leading electric scooter rental platform, to reimagine their mobile application from the ground up. The challenge? Create an intuitive, scalable app that serves gig workers, delivery partners, and daily commuters while dramatically reducing user drop-offs and increasing rental conversions.

Discovery & Strategy

We began with an in-depth discovery phase, which included a brand audit, competitor research, and collaborative workshops with Bounce Daily's product, operations, and customer support teams. Through user interviews with delivery partners, Swiggy riders, and daily commuters, we uncovered critical pain points: 45% of users were dropping off between phone verification and KYC upload, another 23% between KYC upload and approval, and riders consistently expressed anxiety about unclear payment statuses, plan expiries, and potential hidden charges. Our research revealed that their brand needed to be bold, intelligent, and structured—reflecting clarity through clean geometries, timeless typography, and a refined earthy color palette. We developed a strategic concept we called "Architectural Presence": a blend of clarity, restraint, and identity that would help riders navigate the app confidently even while on the move.

It became evident that their brand needed to be quiet, intelligent, and structured—mirroring the way spatial design brings order through architectural geometries. We helped ground their concept in three strategic pillars: transparency through over-communication (real-time visibility into every step of the journey), behavioral design (shaping positive user actions through timely nudges and milestone-based rewards), and a scalable technical architecture that could support future use cases beyond basic scooter rentals. Together, we defined the brand direction: clean, grounded, and sophisticated. The visual systems incorporated refined neutral tones with coral energy accents, bespoke iconography reflecting electric mobility, and a custom letterform style that communicated precision and trust. This helped steer the direction for both branding and digital design decisions, setting a strong conceptual backbone for all creative work ahead. The launch marked a new chapter for Bounce Daily as a comprehensive electric mobility platform empowering India's gig economy workforce—where design directly translated to economic opportunity.

Creation & Deliverables

The branding phase was rooted in simplicity with intention. We created a minimal yet distinctive logotype that subtly referenced both movement and sustainability, paired with a custom letterform style that reflected the brand's architectural precision. The visual systems incorporated earthy neutral tones balanced with energetic coral accents, while the typography—centered on Inter for maximum mobile readability—ensured clarity across all touchpoints. At the close of the project, we delivered a complete branded UI kit with over 100 reusable components, 50+ high-fidelity screens covering every user state and edge case, an interactive Figma prototype demonstrating full user journeys, a custom illustration suite and icon library, comprehensive brand guidelines, and fully functional iOS and Android applications built in React Native. We also handled complete backend architecture setup with Firebase integration for dynamic content management, real-time bike availability tracking, payment gateway integrations, and KYC verification workflows.

Key features included a frictionless onboarding flow with real-time KYC validation and embedded instructional videos, an intelligent notification system with persistent buzzer alerts for plan expiry warnings, transparent payment and dues management with prominent status cards and accessible "Pay Now" functionality, proactive rider education through in-app videos and dynamic ads carousels, WhatsApp-integrated customer support, and a loyalty and referral engine with milestone tracking and partner offer showcases. We also provided a complete stationary design kit, app store assets for launch, QA documentation, developer handoff materials, Figma backups, and training sessions for the internal team on managing Firebase content updates. The technical implementation leveraged React Native for cross-platform consistency, Firebase for dynamic configurations, robust REST APIs, and comprehensive analytics tracking every user interaction. We ensured consistency whether users were accessing the app from clients, publishing content online, or sharing updates on social channels. The phased rollout across Google Play Store and Apple App Store in major Indian cities—Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad—allowed us to monitor real-world performance, address regional preferences, and rapidly iterate based on rider feedback. The results spoke for themselves: D0 renewal rates improved from 71% toward a target of 85%+, phone verification to KYC upload conversion increased from 45% to 65%+, customer support tickets decreased significantly, and referral activation grew from a baseline of 0%. The launch ensured Bounce Daily's new chapter as a leader in accessible electric mobility for India's gig economy.
